Motivational Interviewing Training
Motivational Interviewing has been at the heart of my work for many years. As a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) since 2016, I provide engaging in-person and virtual training for healthcare organizations, behavioral health professionals, educators, and community agencies. My training emphasizes the core values of Motivational Interviewing: partnership, acceptance, compassion, and empowerment, while giving participants practical skills they can immediately apply in their work.

My family's roots trace back to the Caribbean, including Trinidad, Jamaica, and Guyana. I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New Jersey as the youngest of four siblings. Growing up in a culturally rich and diverse family shaped the values that guide both my personal life and my work: kindness, respect, resilience, and the importance of meaningful human connection.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me walking, cooking, or watching a baseball game. But above all, my greatest joy and proudest accomplishment is being a father to my 12-year-old daughter. She reminds me every day to stay curious, present, and open to learning. Like many of life's best teachers, she has shown me that growth happens through listening, patience, and seeing the world through someone else's eyes.
